IFS therapy to support your healing journey

I am currently accepting new clients for in-person and virtual services for December 2024. Weekends and evenings available.

What is Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy?

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a model of therapy that can help access and even heal traumas and suppressed emotions that are deeply embedded into the nervous system and subconscious mind. It can also operate on a cognitive level to help gain understanding and compassion for our parts such as the Critic, Perfectionist, People-Pleaser, etc.

Because the IFS process typically involves engaging in a deep meditative state guided by the therapist, it has the ability to connect with and heal pain from pre-verbal ages as well as emotional memories that may not reside in our conscious mind.

IFS has an inherent somatic component as well as emotional processing, this combination makes it an effective therapy approach for issues such as chronic pain, burnout, autoimmune disorders, and attachment trauma.

The IFS model teaches "the 8 C's" of Self; curiosity, calmness, clarity, compassion, confidence, courage, creativity, and connectedness, and how to embody them to facilitate healing.
