Sarah Grummett Psychotherapy
Hello,
It's so nice to meet you!

My name is Sarah Grummett and I'm a Registered Psychotherapist in Ottawa, Ontario. I hold a
Master's in Counseling Psychology from Yorkville University and am registered with the College
of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). My pronouns are she/her.
I've been working in private practice since 2020, and I would be proud to help you along your
journey to better mental and emotional health.
Some interesting facts about me:
•I'm a pet-mom of 3 (not only do I not mind if your pets attend virtual sessions, I encourage it!)
•I love to garden and spend time outside
•I'm actually really introverted; I understand the struggle to be more open!

My Story
My own life experiences and struggles have helped me to realize my passion for helping others,
particularly in the areas of emotionally abusive relationships, dysfunctional families, and chronic pain issues. I try to advocate for mental health and feel strongly about the benefit of holistic therapy as a proactive measure to facilitate mental wellness and a grounded sense of self.
I believe that a good therapist will be educated. They will be knowledgeable about theory,
practice, and skills. A better therapist will recognize that they can never truly appreciate your
experience and reality but want to. They are curious to understand and wise enough to
know that you know your situation better. The best therapist will see that, even with the
distress, and the problems at hand- there is more. You are already a whole and complete
person- maybe you just haven't been introduced to yourself yet.
My Philosophy
I believe in our ability to overcome adversity, to grow and thrive. My philosophy is that each and
every one of us is already "enough"- strong enough, smart enough, "good" enough. There is nothing that I can add or contribute that will make you worthy; you already are.
Using a holistic lens, my goal is to help you find the pieces that are no longer serving and address the patterns that are holding you back from being your authentic self.
I find it deeply rewarding to work with my aligned clients, supporting and empowering them through positive life changes. To me, you’re not a “puzzle” or something to fix, you’re a person,
and my genuine desire is to see you thrive.
"Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it."
